Living Room Furniture

Start with the dimensions of the room and identify the anchor pieces: the sofa, the coffee table, and the main storage or TV unit. Work outward from those anchors, adding lounge chairs, side tables, a rug, and lighting. Material consistency across pieces matters as much as individual quality. A lounge room where timber tones and metal finishes carry a shared reference always reads as more considered than one where each piece was chosen in isolation.

Allow at least 45 cm of clearance between the front of the sofa and the coffee table, and 90 cm of walkway on any open side. A 3-seater sofa typically sits between 200 and 230 cm wide and suits living rooms with at least 3.5 metres of usable width. For smaller lounge rooms, a 2-seater or compact 3-seater gives better proportions and circulation.

Performance fabric and PU leather are the most practical upholstery choices for sofas and lounge chairs in high-traffic households. Solid timber and stone-top surfaces on coffee tables and side tables hold up well under daily use. For rugs in high-traffic zones, flatweave or washable constructions are significantly easier to maintain. The Feelter’s lounge chairs and sofa ranges both include performance upholstery options across several models.

Yes. The Feelter’s living room set collection covers curated sofa, chair, coffee table, and rug combinations designed to work together. Buying a set removes the proportioning and material-matching work from the furnishing process. Individual pieces from the broader premium furniture range can also be added to any set to extend or personalise the arrangement.
